Breast cancer is a very common form of cancer, one that has roughly a quarter of a million new diagnoses each year. Every year PRiNK is proud to support awareness and offer merchandise with a purpose. This year is more special than ever as October marks the final chemotherapy treatment for Lynda Staples, board member and mother of founder Garrett Staples. Having battled breast cancer for over a year, Lynda is now in remission only because of modern technology and a regularly scheduled mammogram.
Why is the Pacific Yew tree so important to us at PRiNK Technologies? This incredible tree has saved countless lives of cancer patients around the world. Taxol is the chemotherapy drug made from the bark of the Pacific Yew Tree. It was first discovered in 1967 and is now on the World health Organizations’s List of Essential Medications. During the month of October we will be planting a Pacific Yew Tree for each wood case we sell. Help us plant these truly incredible trees to not only change lives; but save them.
